Five years after the brutal slaying of her husband, software technology executive Jill Shannon is finally ready to take the next step in her life. With her wedding to Phoenix Arizona prosecuting attorney Conner Manning just eight weeks away, the only cloud on Jill's horizon is her future father-in-law's political ambitions for his son. Jill has dark secrets in her past. Secrets she can't afford to have exposed under the relentless lights of a political campaign. Then the murder of a reporter brings the cops straight to Jill's doorstep. When Phoenix Detective David Shaw turns up at Jill's door asking questions, he has no idea what a lethal Pandora's Box he's just opened. Was the womanizing reporter killed by a jealous husband, or was it related to his drug use? Or did it have something to do with the secret expose the reporter was working on? Jill Shannon looks like a dead-end lead but Shaw can't shake the feeling the beautiful widow has secrets she's not sharing. As Shaw finds himself drawn deeper into a twisted labyrinth of lies and danger, one thing becomes clear: some vows are made out loud in front of witnesses. But some vows are made in silence, and witnesses can't be left alive. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Emily Cauldwell, Kevin Stillwell. Yah's Consuming Fire , Hörbuch, Digital, 1, 16min

The Most High's nature is essentially that of a consuming fire, according to the scriptures. Right from the start, the listener will visit the scriptures as the true nature of Yahuah is shown. In Exodus 13:21, for example, it says, "And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:" Fire is very intense; frighting on the one hand and very attractive on the other. People are drawn to fire. But why is the Most High compared to fire in the scriptures? In Genesis 15, he appears as a blazing lamp, and in Exodus 13, he appeared as a burning bush. Exodus 19:24 Yahuah on Mount Sinai appeared as a consuming fire; devouring fire. Also, in Exodus 40 by day, a pillar of a cloud of smoke and by night, a pillar of fire over the tabernacle. Why fire? Look at Leviticus 9 and the beginning of Leviticus 10, Yahuah consumes the sacrifices with fire. He also consumes Arron's disobedient sons with fire. Then in Deuteronomy 4:24 Yahuah is actually called the devouring fire/consuming fire and that is also quoted in Hebrews 12:29. Let us take a quick look at this verse starting a verse 28-29. It says, "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:" Verse 29, "For our God is a consuming fire." The same picture of Yahuah in the New Testament. "For our Yahuah is a consuming fire." Why this association with Fire? In Judges, Yahuah appears in a fire as the fire of sacrifices, in 1 Kings 18, Elijah prays, "Let the Yahuah that answers by fire be Yah." It is over and over. In Ezekiel, the first chapter Yahuah appears, and these chariots of fire that are there and in Ezekiel 8 the Angel of the Most High is on fire as he comes out of the presence of the Elohim that is on fire. In Daniel 7, there is a river of fire that goes out from before the Most High. Malachi 1. Language: English. Narrator: Miguel L. Conner. From the New York Times bestselling author of The Year We Left Home and A Cloud in the Shape of a Girl, this dazzling novel is hailed as an “instantly addictive...tale of yearning, paradox, and hope.” (Booklist)   After surviving a horrific shooting at her high school, fifteen-year-old Linnea is packed off to live with her estranged father, Art, in California. Art, not much more than a child himself, doesn’t quite understand how or why he has suddenly become responsible for raising a sullen—and probably deeply damaged—adolescent girl. And although Linnea has little interest in her father, she becomes fascinated by the eccentric cast of characters surrounding him: Conner, a local handyman whose own home life is a war zone, and Christie, her neighbor, who has just been given the reins to a bizarrely named charity fund, the Humanity Project. As the Fund gains traction and Linnea begins to heal, the Humanity Project begs the question: Can you indeed pay someone to be good? At what price? Thompson proves herself at the height of her powers in  The Humanity Project, crafting emotionally suspenseful and thoroughly entertaining characters, in which we inevitably see ourselves. Set against the backdrop of current events and cultural calamity, it is at once a multifaceted ensemble drama and a deftly observant story of our twenty-first-century society.
